Founded in 1968, the Society's mission is threefold

How We Achieve Our Aims

Uckfield Heritage achieves its goals through four active sub-committees:

  • Nutley Windmill Group: Help maintain and operate this iconic Grade II* listed working windmill built around 1700. Nutley Windmill 

  • Bridge Cottage Group: Oversee the preservation of this important Wealden hall house built around 1436, which now serves as the Uckfield Heritage Centre. Bridge Cottage

About Uckfield Heritage

Preserving the Past, Inspiring the Future

Uckfield Heritage, formerly known as the Uckfield & District Preservation Society (UDPS) since 1968, is a local charity dedicated to protecting and promoting the rich history and environment of Uckfield and the surrounding parishes in East Sussex
